How to activate the demo version of ReCap Pro and ReCap Photo?

How can I activate the demo version of ReCap Pro and ReCap Photo?

I have downloaded, installed and startet the software. I have logged in into my account. My account shows 30 day left for the demo. But I can’t use the demo software.

How can I activate the demo?

Hi @Uhlhorn,

Firstly what you are seeing for ReCap Photo is correct as there is no trial or demo for ReCap Photo for Image processing. The free version of ReCap Photo allows for mesh visualization, mesh editing, and exporting features but no aerial or object reconstruction. You need a subscription for Photo Reconstruction.

For ReCap Pro, it looks like your Trial has already started. The Activate button in your screenshot is to activate the license using a subscription. But since the countdown timer is already there, your Trial has started. To verify, you can load a project and then see if you can access the Registration and Publish features. These are Pro features that are allowed during the trial. Okay, than I can not test the software.

I use AutoCAD with the account of the company I work for. But with this account I can not buy a subscription for ReCap Photo. And when I log in with my own account I can not use AutoCAD. When I log out in ReCap Photo AutoCAD is logging out too. I have permanently to log in an out. So, this is not an option.

For ReCap Pro, it looks like your Trial has already started.

Yes, but the Pro features are locked. So I can not test the software.

Okay, than I will test one of the many other softwares in the market. Too bad!

Would it be possible for you to PM me your userid email used for ReCap Pro?

For ReCap Photo, Yes what you explained is the Autodesk Sign Sign-On feature that forces one account to log in for all products.

My main interest is in ReCap Photo. And when I decide to buy it, the Autodesk Sign Sign-On feature has to be deactivated. Otherwise I can not use it. I don't want to sign in and out for every app switching.

May I know if the title bar says "AUTODESK RECAP PRO" or "AUTODESK RECAP"?

If the trial has been activated successfully, the title bar should change to AUTODESK RECAP PRO.

For example, see the following screenshot.

Comparing between non-trial and trial, most features should be activated such as Search and Registration.

But some feature is still locked for trial user, such as Publish feature (cloud icon in the home menu) because it requires subscription for storage space in the cloud.
