[FARO Users] SCENE 6.0 SDK not certified for use with ReCap ***

It has come to our attention that the Faro SDK installed with Faro SCENE 6.0 can cause issues with importing FLS data to ReCap. This issue can be seen by a failure to import correct RGB for colorized scans.

We can reproduce the issue in-house and are discussing it with FARO. I will update this thread when we have a fix. Until then, the workaround is to import scans to ReCap on a machine that does not have SCENE 6.0.

Hi Folks,

I have good news - Faro has supplied us a build of their latest SDK, and it has passed our QA certification (specifically, the issues referenced in this thread appear to be fixed).

This version (6.0.4.1) will be bundled with the next release of ReCap. Until then, you can download it from the usual Faro.com location. As always, ReCap will find & use the latest version of the FARO SDK installed on the machine.

Correction: the certified build is Faro SDK version 6.0.5.2 (released officially yesterday). The build I referenced previously is no longer the latest (although both work fine w.r.t. the issues above).
