RECAP INDEXING TAKING A LONG TIME

Hi,

I am pulling my hair out waiting on ReCap to index and launch a project. The project has a total of 50 scans combined in a point cloud .pts file (179gb). The pc itself has quite a high spec - 64gb ram ssd with GTX 980 TI.

Should it be taking so long to index a scan?

50 scans will take a while, but ReCap seems to have slowed down the past version or so. We are having a terrible time doing a SAVEAS and EXPORTing. It takes hours sometimes on a cloud with about 30 scans.

I'm downloading Version 4.202 now hoping it's resolved some of these issues.

The only thing I found that made it speed up a little, is having 2 internal SSD's

one with the oringinal scans (PTS in your case)

and the 2nd one where the Recap Project is.

When performing a "Save As" in Recap, I always switch from one disks to the other, so that files really get transferred.
