Is it possible to have Recap Photo export a model with 1 jpg instead of 2, or does anyone know of a way to combine the two jpgs in another program?

Hi,

Use "Rebake" option with single tile size (not Multiple). Note that rebake is compute intensive and will work faster with discrete GFX card with good amount of VRAM.

This option completely altered the texture- is there no way to get 1 jpg with the original texture? I already tried exporting original without the multiple setting and got two.

Hi,

Then I am not sure what your requirement is.

Basically, the mesh is unwrapped and parameterized into a certain number of texture tiles. The number is dependent on the size of the mesh and the software uses 8K as the maximum size. There will not be enough texture space to parameterize a very large mesh and still keep the details. So one has to compromise between the size of the mesh (by decimating) and quality of the texture (by forcing on a single tile). There is no way to combine multiple tiles into one while at the same time keep the texture islands.

What are you trying to achieve? We might be able to offer a solution if we understand your need better. Thanks.

Regards,
