Hello,

I was wandering is it possible to merge the mesh of 3D maps in autodesk recap photo.

Because I have a project with over 3000 photos and as autodesk recap photo can only process 1000 photos at a time I was wondering if it would be possible to render 3 separate maps (like chunks) and then combine them all with texture and everything.

I am aware that RCS files can be merged in autodesk recap pro but if I do this it will not allow me to construct the mesh or the texture. Or is there another way to render maps in autodesk were there is no limit to the amount of photos you can up load?

Any info on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @Anonymous,

Thanks for writing to us. Unfortunately currently it is not supported to merge the mesh of 3D maps in Recap Photo. The only other way as you mentioned is to have them merged in Recap Pro, which provides limited options.

We will channelize your feedback to management to have this feature in future. It may help if you can propose your idea at idea station for management to take a look.

Let us know if this resolves your query.

Regards,
