Old CD version of AutoCAD which is fully paid for, starts but has a problem with the License.

Old CD version of AutoCAD which is fully paid for, does not work. The program is fully downloaded, however starting the program, there is an error with the License. It is 2012 version. I have uninstalled the program, and reinstalled, same problem. I have put in the correct serial number and product key still will not work. Any solutions?

@ianRBRRF What's the exact error? Share a screenshot of it please.

What version of Windows are you running AutoCAD2012? Answers Autodesk does not help with include Win8, Win10 and Win11.

Trying to run it on windows 10

And like I said put in the right serial number and product key. Even used the request Activation number and still nothing works.

Win10 is not a supported OS for your older 2012 version. Sorry. you need one of these installed if Autodesk is to even consider authorizing your old software (their software, their rules)

Autodesk stopped automatic authorizations to anything older than 2014 a few years back: you will need to contact Autodesk Support directly (after you change your OS) for a manual activation. An Autodesk Reseller in your region may be able to assist there too (but only in a supported OS, aka not Win10).

Free and not so free tips from other websites like this one may be helpful alternative solutions, explore there if you wish.
