AUTOCAD 2017 STUDENT VERSION DOWNLOAD

Hello All,

In downloading ACAD 2017 student version the operation stops with the install button grayed out.

The download dialog box (screen shot attached) attached, shows:

Disc Space: 276 MB required / 127 GB available

Why does the download stop with plenty of disc space remaining.

What should I do allow a complete download.

Am I correct that you are asking the same question again?

My previous answer was: your screenshot shows that all products are installed, every product in the screenshot (AutoCAD, ReCap and A360 Desktop) do have the marker "INSTALLED". So there is nothing to do and so the button INSTALL is greyed out (what else should it do?).

Thanks for your reply.

I did get past my erroneously perceived issue.

However, as I open the app, I get dialog box stating "Problem loading acadres.dll resource file."

In researching for a solution on this forum I see that you have tried to help at least one person with this in the past.

You bowed out saying that this statement was tantamount to saying "the car won't start" To many options for what may be wrong to work with in the forum.

Is this still the case?

Should I again uninstall all ACAD 2017 programs and reinstall. I also have Revit 2017 & sds Max 2017 installed.

Searching for that error message brings up >>>this article<<< and yes, suggests a complete uninstall and reinstall.

I would not start with uninstalling and reinstalling AutoCAD, I would start with the C++ repair, and when that is done login with a new Windows user account and see if AutoCAD is now working. During the whole process disable your Antivirus software to make sure that it does not block any installation passes.

Thanks again for working with me.

I performed the following:

replaced all C++ programs following instructions

opening ACAD 2017 & got same "Problem loading
acadres.dll resource file." message...

uninstalled ACAD 2017...

toggled antivirus, Windows 10 Defender, Real-time protection,
off...

reinstalled ACAD 2017

opening ACAD 2017 & results in the same "Problem
loading acadres.dll resource file." message.

Any other suggestions?

What are you trying to do ... download a Student version of the software?

Can you help me with a few questions:

Do you have a current license for 2017, showing in your Account Portal, maybe under Classic view?

I ask, as that's really a supported version and it wouldn't be available anymore for Educational use.

it would make it easier if you write in full sentences (SCNR should be possible for students, sorry for wording!). 😉

Also sending multiple posts into this thread does not change anything.

In case you need AutoCAD a student version you should be able to follow the suggestions above, e.g. look at that link:

https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview

And do what you need to get a current version. Older version don't make sense as you won't be able to use all the updated commands/functions/properties.

unfortunately 2017 isn't a valid version of Student software anymore.

You'd need to have 2026 and 3 versions back for an option ..
