Autocad Electrical 2011 Error

Please can you help..

I am an occasional user of ACE 2011 and recently wanted to update some drawings and got the following error after the ACE program had loaded

I have tried to repair & re-install the application from Control Panel - Uninstall - Repair or Re-Install but without success.

I have also tried to repair all the applications related to ACE 2011 but this has not made any difference to the error except that when trying to repair AutoCAD Design Review 2011, I get the following message and I am unsure if it is related to ACE2011 application as I have not used this program

I have checked and also downloaded a fresh copy of the distributable files from MS site but again, this has made no difference and Design Review 2011 error re-appears each time I try to repair the program but if the icon is pressed from the Windows desktop, the Design Review 2011 does run.. This may be a "red herring" and nothing at all to do with the ACE failure

I am uncertain how to proceed and would ask for your help in this matter

Autodesk will not offer product activation or installation support for products that are not on the eligible previous version list for subscriptions and maintenance plans. Users should store this information if they need access to it in the future. If you have your serial number please try AVA & select "Get Activation Code".

Hi Natasha,

Not quite sure that I understand your response..

I am not looking for a re-activation code and certainly not looking for a maintenance plan due to the periodic use of the software..

However, if Autodesk provided common-sense fault codes then I would not have needed support.

Paying thousands of dollars for a drawing software package with encrypted error codes would at least have earned me the courtesy of an answer to the error and would have been more useful..

Other CAD packages are available..

What is your Windows version? Looks like WIn7, which dies in about a month.

That error is a system level crash: could be a conflicting DLL from another application. It is often best to remove all Autodesk software, reboot WIndows, and reinstall, something like this https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Recommended-uninstall-and-reinstall-procedures.html

Yes, its a long process. Not much else to try except maybe a new Windows log-in first to confirm the problem is the software and not your log-in.

No one here cares about that around here, no one is Autodesk: if you want to jump ship, do it.
