I have recently upgraded my operating system to Windows 10 64 bit and have just tried to install my Architecture 2008 software but I get an error saying that the install is 32 bit whilst the OS is 64 bit. How do I get around this?

you had to go through this: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-architecture-forum/updated-workaround-instructions-for-64-bit-os-install/td-p/1941946

whether this still works or not can't say

even if you got this installed Autodesk may not provide you an activation code

AutoCAD 2016 and older isn't support on Windows 10

Also:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/simplecontent/content/previous-version-support-change.html

If my current network licensing file includes products which are v2010 or earlier, will I be able to get an activation code?
No. Product version is validated during the activation process. Versions 2010 or earlier cannot be activated.
