Powershape 2016 Drag and Drop no longer works on new PC - Any suggestions?

Hi I am hoping someone can help. I have had to buy a new PC. We have reinstalled Powershape 2016 and all the service packs. I am running Windows 10 all up-to-date. On my old PC (very similar specification) I could drag and drop a STEP, IGES, X_T file straight from Windows Explorer onto Powershape "new model" screen. Now I get a small grey no-entry sign as the mouse gets to the area where I would to drop the file to open it / import it.

Any ideas gratefully received. Thank you

Hi @Anonymous

I would check your PowerShape folder permissions at.......C:\Program Files\Autodesk\PowerShape 2021

Right click on the PowerShape 2021 folder in the installation directory and verify your security settings on that folder. Make sure you have full read/write access.

Hopefully that works for you.

Thank you for your reply. This is PS 2016.

A little more information - If I start a PowerShape, and open a file explorer, go to a folder with (for example) 4 iges files in it, I cannot drag and drop any of them into the open PS.

If I double click one of the iges files, it opens a PS. THEN I can then drag and drop any of the remaining files no problem.

It is very strange!
