Decimal separator - Electrode script

Hello,
I'm generating a program with Autodesk Electrode.
The problem is that all decimal values are exiting with "," as the decimal separator. The machine only accepts "."
How can I force the xml script to generate ","?

Hello,

Does your windows region settings are setup to use the "." as the decimal separator ?

(Windows Control Panel -> Region -> additional parameters)

I currently use this solution @ewshp.
I would like to do in the xml file. Some users do not like to change the Windows separator.

Sorry then i won't be able to help more. I use the "." as the decimal notation.

Apart from a macro which will scan the XML file and do a caracter replacement each time it finds a "," i don't know of an other solution.

Hi. I'm not sure which xml for electrode you are using or trying to generate, but if it is the custom scripts for EDM export then please refer to custom_script_format.html which you will find in the installation path for PowerShape under file/electrode.

The decimal separators default to the current locale but can be overridden to use '.' by adding the attribute locale="neutral" to the root node of the xml.

If you look in the PowerShape installation path under file/electrode you will find all the xml scripts used for generating the standard output formats. They all start electrode_script_* . They are worth a look as you may find examples or ideas to use in your own scripts. You will also find examples of the locale="neutral" usage.
