Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for contacting Autodesk Community Forum..

If I understand your query correctly then you are looking for the ability to export model from World Workplane from PowerShape to PowerMill.

Yes you can do this by activating the World workplane before copying the model from PowerShape. Either can use the type command -

ACTIVATE_WORKPLANE World

Or you can add this type command in macro and link this macro to custom toolbar button. Please refer the following article and screencast for furhter details-

I am attaching the macro this thread.

Please verify and confirm.. Please correct me if I am off track here.

I have been looking for a way to idiot-proof my imports into PowerMill;

The work sequence I use is as follows;

Load part into fixture/etc in PowerShape

Activate Main workplane (This is used later to become an anchor for my MTD imports, etc)

Copy model

Paste to PowerMill

Run macros/etc.

Occasionally I will do something dumb like have a different workplane active and it causes me alot of annoyance.

Is there a way I can lock the export/reference work plane to "MAIN" (A named workplane) so that no matter what it exports from there?

In theory I guess I could make a macro to always activate it before I export but my instinctive reflex to "cntrl-A, Cntrl-C" is pretty hard to fight some days before the coffee has really hit.

Thanks in advance.
