Seperating components from main assembly

A customer recently sent us the whole assembly file when all we needed to work on was an insert. There appears to be many ways to separate the components. Is there one quick easy way?

Select the component(s) --> Right-click --> Convert --> To Geometry

I would like to add little more on it.If you want to separate the solid part from an assembly model.

Right click on the existing assembly

In the solid tree explore you can select assembly model and right click on it.

Kindly refer the snapshots for your reference.
