Just to clarify, are you looking to do this with a macro or are you hoping/open to use the PowerShape and PowerMill API and write a .Net application to do this?

So I'm clear:

1 - The 5 digit code would come from the first 5 digits of the assembly?

2 - The XXX 3 digit code would be incremental from the folder system?

3 - The component name would be the name of the selected solid?

2 - The XXX 3 digit code would be incremental from the folder system? "INSIDE PROJECT'S FOLDER I'LL HAVE CREATED A SUBFOLDER FOREACH COMPONENT"

3 - The component name would be the name of the selected solid? "YES"

I would suggest that either a VBS file or better yet, a .NET application would be best suited to this. These are more powerful than the macro language for PowerShape when working with the file system as you require.

Do you have experience with the PowerShape and PowerMill API described in the sticky posts in this part of the forum? Do you have experience with .NET?
