I'm interested in your work with Grasshopper, I see you are using your own libraries rather than custom software core, why is that ?

Hello Muhammed,
I am using my own libraries because I have been developing external software for powermill for many years, and there were no such libraries so I had to create my own ones until the CSC came out, I see that the operation of these is quite similar to my libraries, Although mine have already grown a lot and towards a quite particular use for my work. Right now where I work using Grasshopper as a design tool and I'm implementing the visual components to work in both directions (Rhinoceros and Powermill), anyway you can create some grasshopper components with CSC libraries without problems, you may have a problem with The multi-instance that I already solvable with my own libraries.

Thanks for your reply, and yes I'm looking actually to do same but using Dynamo , seen your approach encourage me to proceed with the idea.

In your picture I've seen a button at top left, is that the way you control whether it's run or design mode ?

No worries about your English, it's much better than mine, I'm Egyptian 🙂

My way of putting the component in grasshopper is for the designer to decide when to start with the execution of the processes reflected in powermill, I wanted the designer to start with the designs and add components that were reflected in powermill and once the designer finished with the Design phase could mechanize at the moment you choose, the button is as a way to start the machining process, it serves me so that the component of powermill instance to use pass all the components in the branch of "connection" And the component that receives the object begins the execution, is also posed for multiinstance, several powermill open and running according to the instance passed to it in the object "connection". Everything right now is in a testing phase.

In my free time, I'm looking at moving PowerMill and PowerShape APIs to Dynamo. started by automate PowerShape and then I moved to create PowerShape entities.
