I tryed to use PMPost 2015, but it had a severe bug with 5 axes coordinates. Since I also had issues and did not find it easy to use, I'm still with PMPost 2014 R2 and PM 2016.

My tip: Install PMPost 2014 R2 and see if you still have these issues.

Olivier

When i try to bring in an option file (pmoptz) into Post Processor 2015, i get a license error (error1.png). After trying to import it 5-6 times, it works.

Then when i import a cut file and Process As Debug, it crashes again when i try to view the debugged file (error2.png). I attached the stack trace to this post as well. I can view the plain text, but i used to be able to see both.

I have uninstalled/rebooted/reinstalled already and no result. Any ideas?

Thank you,
Nick.

Hi,

The problem is the license.... if you are using a network license, please check if you don't have any network issues, if you are using paf, check your dongle, and usb port. check if the maintenance date of you paf is for postprocessor 2015.

regards

Rui

I don't believe .pmoptz posts are supported in 2014 and i don't see a 2016 version anywhere, i actually didin't know 2016 existed

I tryed PMPost 2014 R2 combined wit PM 2017 : No problem as long as you have a pre-Autodesk license available.

I always worked with .pmoptz posts( no duct posts) since 2013. The last Delcam PMPost was 2015 SP1 but I do not recommend to use it, since it has issues and is not user friendly.

We now use PM 2016 with PMPost 2014 R2 without any problem.

I have a severe 5 axis issue on one machine with PM 2017 in both PMPost 2014R2 and 2017 which obliges me to postpone PM2017's install on all PCs. All other tests I made went OK with PM 2017 in both PMPost 2014R2 and 2017.

Which version of PowerMill do you use right now ? I would suggest to use PMPost 2014R2 with PM 2016 and PMPost 2017 with PM 2017.

Olivier

We have pre Autodesk dongles, I have access to our company downloads for 2017 but we are still waiting for support to give us the serial numbers to match up, in the mean time i am on the 30 day trial. When i look at the list of available downloads i do not see any post processors. When i look on the old delcam downloads portal, i only see 2014 and 2015 R1. Where did you acquire 16 and 17?

You can get PM 2017 from Autodesk's site. When you install PM 2017, PMPost 2017 should also install automatically, since it is downloaded with the same installation file.

I got PM 2016, PMPost 2015 and 2014 from Delcam's download site, which is no longer active .

Anyway, if you are under maintenance, I suggest that you ask your reseller to place PM 2016 and PMPost 2014 R2 on a ftp server to allow you to download them.

Olivier
