So I have accepted the removal of toolbars in favor of ribbons (lame). I'm having a minor annoyance though and I'm wondering if there is a work around.

I have a bunch of macros I use which pause for user input. When my macro pauses for user input it switches the ribbon tab back to the "home" tab. Is there a command I can put at the end of my macro to go back to the tab I want?

example

MODE WORKPLANE_CREATE ; INTERACTIVE BLOCK
MACRO PAUSE "SET WORKPLANE AND PRESS RESUME"
ACTIVATE WORKPLANE "1"
MODE WORKPLANE_EDIT START "1"
MODE WORKPLANE_EDIT SWAP_AXES
MACRO PAUSE "SET WORKPLANE AND PRESS RESUME"
MODE WORKPLANE_EDIT FINISH ACCEPT

changes the view from...

to...

Also, is there a way to hide tabs or even rearrange them? There's a lot of tabs that are a little redundant for me (everything is keyboard shortcuts) and I like to have as big of a viewing area as possible. Here's what my 2017 powermill looks like.

Ultimately, I'd like to get as close to that as I possibly can.

As always, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

@danmic7JH66 I am in the same boat as you when using the macro pause. I have a trimming macro that I use which has the macro pause in it and I do find it a pain that it always goes back to the home tab.

I don't think there is an option currently to stop it going back to the home tab but hope there will be one in the future with an update. My current work around right now is to put that macro icon into the Quick Access Toolbar of the Ribbon.

I made a custom ribbon with all my macros. This could solve your problems, because I had no issues with macros pause for the moment.

Well, ist is actually a custom tab: Right click on the ribbon, customize the ribbon, add a new tab and put your macros into it.

I have already done that. I created a tab called 'Main Custom Toolbar' and put my trimming macro that has a macro pause in it. Every time I run it goes back to the 'Home' tab and then I have to click on my 'Main Custom Toolbar' tab to run the trimming macro again. What I have done to avoid doing that every time is put it into the Quick Access Toolbar. See video

Trimming Macro video

In that case, it seems to be the only solution

Since ribbon actions are not listed in the command windows, no way to reactivate the right tab within the macro.

I guess everyone has their favorite ways with what works, when I watch your video there seems to be allot of clicking and windows popping up.I hit the trim button, make the polygon, hit accept with the form staying open. I don't know how a macro could make it easier than that.?

That trimming macro was created years ago to have an undo button before there was an undo with the default trimming option.

Also, my trimming macro allows me to create multiple boundaries to trim multiple areas of a toolpath in one shot, mirror, rotate, bezier curves (for a smooth trimmed toolpath) etc. It's a lot more powerful than the default trimming option
