It is possible to add programs from selected folders to group.

No we can not add the entities created earlier in Group in PowerMill explorer. Groups are controlled by pop-up menus. Groups allow you to associate various entities (such as patterns features and toolpaths). If there is an active group then only entities are transferred to respective group automatically.

I've used groups consistently for a couple of years now. I program predominately for a 5X machine and find it sooo useful to break each workplane and it's assosiated toolpaths into it's own group.
I close down the main 'Toolpath' folder and work straight from the groups.
If I'm doing 5X positional work and the toolpaths in each group have their own workplane, I can right click the group folder and select 'Copy as NC Program' and that set goes out as one combined program.
It also makes tracking easier particularly when you have dozens of programs. Oh, and on this machine our numbers have to be numeric, so we've developed an ID code for our programs which identify the tool type, tool size, and order of execution. So when you look at a long list of toolpaths they just look like a bunch of numbers. Therefor I find groups essential.
My only gripe about groups is that PM puts EVERYTHING into them. Messy! But some people like ALL the info there. As far as forgetting about having an active group, I did that for a short while but after using them all the time I got into a habit of checking.
