Autodesk PowerMill 2019.1 Update is now available for download

Customers using any product from the PowerMill 2019 range with an active subscription or maintenance plan can now download and install the PowerMill 2019.1 Update through the Autodesk Desktop App:

Alternatively, you can download the PowerMill 2019.1 Update from the Product Updates area of your Autodesk Account. The associated PowerMill_2019.1.exe file is 84.4 MB (88,584,192 bytes) in size on disk.

Details of the fixes and enhancements included in the PowerMill 2019.1 Update are listed here.

To confirm that you've successfully installed the PowerMill 2019.1 Update, select the ? > About menu option in your PowerMill 2019 software and check that you're working in Version: 2019.1.0.2019104.

You can download the latest version of the Autodesk Desktop App (7.0.10.89) from here.

With the new release some machine configurations are not anymore valid. They were ok since several years but I got the following message :

Modification : For such case I have change :

and I can load them again in PMILL ??

One Workaround in such case is to load an existing project with the machine , then export the machine under a new Mtd file.

It's interesting to notice that in such case Axis without priority are automaticaly saved Under the PRIORITY="MEDIUM"

and <dmt_file> into <triangle_file>

As "usual" I would say since the release 2017 . New types of tool are added into the existing type of Tool in PMILL . But no one take time to update the database . So You can create the tool but not store it !

Minor issue with Setup Element

With this release if for any reason you have calculate a toolpath using a SETUP + Clamp information, and then you decide to delete this SETUP. The information of thickness and the element are still present on the layer 16 of the Component Thickness. And you cannot change the Thickness value.

In setups,

The block definition under coordinate system has to be set on NAMED WORKPLANE. If it isn't when you calculate the toolpath, the coordinate system definition will change it to NAMED WORKPLANE and will use the workplane defined in SETUPS / SETTING/ WORKPLANE.

yes agree with you @j.lacrasse,

Even if you have uncheck the option "Use Setup Stock" As soon as you launch the toolpath calculation PMILL change the Coordinate system of the Block to "Named Workplane" and use the SETUP Workplane.

Another thing which may only affect few users, is the NCsimul interface.

The new version is 3.0.14

It affects the clamps. Instead of transferng them as clamp is transfer as part.

Before importing into Ncsimul I change inside the .nxf file the status of my clamp

As simple as it is, changing opacity to the setup stock require the recalculation of items using it.

Hi @iamcdn79

You don't have the issue because your toolpath have certainly not be calculated in the SETUP. But as soon as you calculate the toolpath in the Setup , then you cannot change the Opacity you cannot shade or unshade the clamp or the toolpaths ..

Looks like only levels can be use for component thickness in toolpath while using setup.

Anyone else has this issue?
