topic ViewMill model visibility in curve editor in PowerMill Forum

Is there any way to toggle the viewmill model visibility while in the curve editor or dynamic machine control?

It's particularly annoying when drawing a boundary because the boundary snaps to the model below the viewmill model where you can't see it, so you end up jumping in and out of the curve editor to turn viewmill on and off just to make sure you are drawing in the right place relative to the model and the stock. Add to that the fact that any boundary segment that's not a closed loop when you leave the curve editor is deleted, and you have a real nightmare situation.

Any suggestions? Could it be set up as a hotkey or macro? I feel like I'm missing something because this seems like an obvious must-have feature.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for raising your query onto Autodesk Forum.

ViewMill Shading toggle is not available in Curve Editor or dynamic machine control.

I have tried using the type command and it doesn't works in both situation.

So presently it doesn't seems any way to toggle ViewMill shading while in curve editor.

Having said this, I will suggest you to try toggling the ViewMill to Shading OFF before entering into Curve Editor or Dynamic machine control mode.

I am sorry, for not been any help for you here.

Thanks and Regards,
