Simple .mtd file

I am looking at using a very simple .mtd file to verify an NC program. All I want to do is use a single surface to represent the machine table and verify the NC program in order to check the tool does not gouge when profiling the job. I wan to do it in an NC program wit han .mtd instead of gouge checking against a surface in order that I get the green tick instead of yellow question mark for the NC program.

I am completely new to .mtd files and have been editing the examples. When adding the .mtd file it want to reference machine head etc but all I want is a single surface (I have already created a .dmt for this) with no axis or anything. Is this possible and if so how do I go about it?

Hi @Anonymous ,

First of all Go through given document (MTD User Guide). Try to build machine by your self if you are facing any problem while creating/ writing script , Exchange the model file , or calculating any parameters you can forward the error in forum.

There are number of experts in Autodesk forum. We would like to help you and guide. But first try by your self of not then my dear we are here for you.

I have a spindle on Z . z axis moves with X. and c axis)rotary table is fixed at 0,0,0
