Hello all, I've been trying to create some Netfabb Strategies in the Additive module, using a simple part, a rectangle with curved borders (30 mm radius), a really easy part, just to try some strategies.

The thing is that THERE IS NO WAY to create a strategies that make CURVES in the BORDES, NO WAY, I changed and tried all the possible parameters in all the possible strategies, even changing the tolerances options for the whole program... there is no change in the borders. I show a image here:

Can someone please tell me how to create a perfect contour that addapts to the real part geometry? I just want a solid pattern with one or two perfect contour paths, actually it should'nt be that hard to do.

Good morning Justin,

First of all, thanks you! I'm posting the file here (Step file at MediaFire , I have problems to add the .step file in the post, I don't know why) and some pictures I took on it yesterday. The thing is that when you use Surface coating and Feature Construction, the software creates perfect patterns that follows the geometry contour. But when you use Netfabb Strategies, the curves doesn't look like as curves does, it's like they are discretized or something, I don't know how to explain it, but you can see it perfectly in the pictures I took. By the way I have to say that I tried modifying nearly all the parameters for the Netfabb Strategies and also the software options. I'm using Autodesk Powermill Ultimate 2019. I have to say that it is not a visual issue, because when you simulate the toolpath, the tool follows that extrange pattern.

- NETFABB STRATEGIES

- SURFACE COATING

- FEATURE CONSTRUCTION

Thanks you again!

Hello Justin,

I have finally been able to update the software to the last version and now the Netfabb Strategy generation it's perfect! The toolpath follows a perfect curve in the borders area.

Everything is okay now! Thanks you again!

Glad updating the software was the solution. The development teams have put a lot of work to make these work well, and continue to do so. If you have any issues with Additive toolpaths, feel free to reach out to us again.
