Is there a proper explanation of the OPMPROP_MAP macros anywhere?

The OPMPROP_MAP macros look useful - but the documentation doesn't explain exactly what they are for or when you should use them.

Is there a proper explanation anywhere? Or an example?

For example, what is the purpose of the OPMPROP_CAT_ENTRY? Or indeed the ctid and ctNameID values in OPMPROP_ENTRY?

They don't seem to provide any categorisation unless I implement MapPropertyToCategory and GetCategoryName...

It doesn't seem to make any difference what you put in there - or take it out completely!

Another example / question:

I have a BOOL property I want to display as "Yes or No" - does the macro help at all ? (seemingly not!)

Defining this:

OPMPROP_ENTRY(0, MYDISPID, PROPCAT_MyCat, 0, 0, IDS_YESNO, _ACRX_T("1;0"), 0, 1, IID_NULL, IID_NULL, "")

makes no difference to my how my property is displayed (as zero).

How should the property be defined? As a BOOL? A BSTR? A VARIANT?

As I recall, the properties API implementation code is mostly available as part of template classes in the ARX SDK headers. If so, you should be able to deduce how to use the macros, and determine how your property functions work (or why they don't work) by tracing through the code in your debugger.

Well one solution I discovered accidentally... if you make your property a VARIANT_BOOL you inherently get Yes / No in the OPM.
