topic A question about "/P" option in ObjectARX Forum

I have two profiles in my AutoCAD and one of the profiles is my own profile "ChekData". I create a shortcut whose target is ("E:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2005\acad.exe" /p CheckData). When I execute the shortcut, AutoCAD will start with the profile of "CheckData". After this, I execute the shortcut of AutoCAD, it will start with the profile of "CheckData"!
In AutoCAD' help documents, it is said that the option of "/p" only affect the current task. Why it is set the current profile in the task?
Many thanks.

The last used profile are default the next time you start autocad. (not sure
about 2006)
Take a look at the registry for the current autocad

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R16.1\ACAD-301:409\Profiles

Stringvalue "Default" keeps the last used profile.
