An ObjectARX library is just a Windows DLL with a different
extension and a few required exported fuctions that AutoCAD
calls when the library is used.

Other than that, anything you can do with any Windows DLL
you can do with an ARX module (such as consume COM and
.NET code).
Can I use and ARX module to run other types of applications?
For example, can I run Visual Basic or Fortran applications, starting them from the ARX and return variables to the ARX app?

If this is possible, could you tell me which other types of applications can be used and how to do it?

Thanks
