Thanks for your great post. It helped me to solve that problem by maintaining your each and every step. &lt;BR /&gt;
But now it shows another error.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;

error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _SetacrxPtp	&lt;BR /&gt;
----------------------------------------------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Here is my definition file content&lt;BR /&gt;

&lt;BR /&gt;
EXPORTS	&lt;BR /&gt;
		acrxEntryPoint&lt;BR /&gt;
        _SetacrxPtp&lt;BR /&gt;
        acrxGetApiVersion&lt;BR /&gt;

&lt;BR /&gt;
Can you please help me to solve this problem?&lt;BR /&gt;

      <title>Compile ObjectARX 2008, using Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition</title>

      <description>If add in my code, a call to acedRegCmds-&amp;gt;addCommand(...), the builder showed the messages:&lt;BR /&gt;
cannot open file: "mfc80u.lib"&lt;BR /&gt;
cannot open file: "mfcs80u.lib"&lt;BR /&gt;
cannot open file: "atls.lib"&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
these file should be in the directory "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\atlmfc\lib", however, my computer not have this diretory, because is not avaliable to Express  version.&lt;BR /&gt;
Where are these files?&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
If ignore this files, the builder showed the messages:&lt;BR /&gt;
acedapi.lib(acedstub.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __afxForceEXCLUDE&lt;BR /&gt;
acedapi.lib(acedstub.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __afxForceSTDAFX&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
In search in web, read about need to install the Platform SDK. I installed the Platform SDK R2 for Windows Server 2003 (compatible to Win XP), however, i do not solved my problem.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
which LIB file, have to add in dependencies?&lt;BR /&gt;
Any suggest to solve the problem?&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;

Ok, however i think there is possibility to solve this problem, without the need buy comercial version.&lt;BR /&gt;
I am downloading trial version to test, then i try copy MFC to the free version. Is this illegal?&lt;BR /&gt;

Problem solved.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Solution:&lt;BR /&gt;
- Get the DDK from http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/ddk/default.mspx and install in system.&lt;BR /&gt;
- Add the directory ...\WINDDK\3790.1830\inc\atl30 and ...\WINDDK\3790.1830\inc\mfc42 in project.&lt;BR /&gt;
- Add the directory ...\WINDDK\3790.1830\lib\atl\i386 and ...\WINDDK\3790.1830\lib\mfc\i386 in project.&lt;BR /&gt;
- Linker\Input\Ignore specif library add mfc80u.lib;mfcs80u.lib&lt;BR /&gt;
- Linker\Input\Additional dependencies add mfcs42u.lib mfc42u.lib&lt;BR /&gt;
- Use /noentry in command line (linker)&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
