Hi @Anonymous,

If you are looking to add text of some form to the model, then the text labeling is the right place to go. Did you try to change the Build Type to "Subtract from Part"? This will remove the text from the part rather than extruding from the plane outward.

Cheers,

I wish could write intaglio in 3D models. For example put a 3D inscription on a statue or any object. I did use the Extras / Text labeling command ... but I can not do it. Could someone unravel the procedure? For example "Corinthe Museum" on a statue ... Thanks in advance

Hi @Anonymous,

There is no need to create the text before entering the text labeling module. There will be an entry field there to enter whatever you will prefer.

Cheers,

Hello, @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Netfabb Forum!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with labeling. As Andrew said, there's no need to create the text as a mesh; the labeling function generates the necessary triangles itself.

The process is described in the Online Help here:

http://help.autodesk.com/view/NETF/2018/ENU/?guid=GUID-B5544210-C6F6-47D0-A170-760292141DA0

If you need duplication and serial labeling, a video that demonstrates how to use or generate lists and to automatically multiply the original part and apply the sequential text can be watched here:

http://help.autodesk.com/view/NETF/2018/ENU/?guid=GUID-B72542DB-73EE-4D6A-AF58-D0DB26F4EA44

Please let us know whether this has helped you, and feel free to follow up with any questions still unanswered.

Best regards,

Steffen
