"At this point of time, .NET 3.1 is still utilized by some features within AutoCAD products. It is highly recommended not to uninstall the .NET update until Autodesk completes the review and provides an update on the dependency. Currently, AutoCAD 2024 Products are the only release that runs completely on .NET 6 and has no dependencies on .NET 3.1. We recommend users not to uninstall .NET 3.1 to avoid stability issues in the software. Once engineering has completed their testing and updated the findings, we will be able to share more details to our customers" is what Autdesk-Support answered.

Hi,

Do we know if Autodesk have any intention of updating AutoCAD 2023 so that it uses a .NET core version that is no longer EOL?

We can install this software, but we then need to remove the deprecated versions of .NET Core 3.1 as they are picked up by our vulnerability scanners.

I did see this has been asked by a user and answered (partly) by Autodesk support. But they omitted to say whether a future release would resolve this.

Thanks
