Hi.

I am looking for building something similar to Falcon project (http://labs.autodesk.com/utilities/falcon) for wind and/or thermal display analysis and visualization inside revit or autocad.

The approach as far as i know is with NET and OpenGL or DirectX, but i'm not clear wich one is supported or best for the task ???...

The thing i would like to know is how it can be done and what kind of libraries , API and coding language should be used.

I know there is some kind of "hidden secret recipe" ... i don't need the code ... i just only want to know if it is possible and how to start it ??? .... some kind of "hello world" would be really nice.

Thanks

As far as OpenGl goes we use openTk, very fast and very responsive in our dialogs.

http://www.opentk.com/
