Installation error related to .NET Framework 4.5

Good day

I am having problems AutoCAD due to my pc telling me that .NET Framework is not installed.

Now I know .NET Framework 4.5 is installed on my pc, I installed it my self but AutoCAD will not install..

I really need help to get this program installed on my pc because I am studying AutoCAD at the moment and I had to format my pc due to windows not starting up and I've formatted and reinstalled everything back onto my pc including all my drivers and I have updated all my drivers. Adobe After effects, Photoshop and a few other programs have installed with no issues.

Please I'm still in the middle of a few projects that are due in a few weeks and I need this issue resolved as quick and as painless as possible.

Did you check you're registry?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full\
Version=4.5 or higher

You might not have installed the FULL version.

I'm not sure if i have the full version or not.. but here is an image of that path. Please can I ask you to advise.

4.6 is not 4.5, therefore AutoCAD might missing some .NET 4.5 files.

Thank you for the quick reply, but how do i now get 4.5 on? I have tried to install 4.5 full that I downloaded from the Microsoft website but tells me there is no need to install it, there is already this version on the pc.

Yeah i hear ya brudda, this problem gave me endless grief when I was trying to install Autocad.

This is how I solved it:

Change the registry key to 4.5

and then when you are done, revert the key back to what it originally was.

CAVEAT: Note that this will involve changing your registry. you should back it up and also create a restore point before editing it. I cannot bear any loss etc from whatever may happen.

Just follow the instructions attached and run the autocad installation. don't forget to revert your registry version to what it was before! BE CAREFUL to follow the paths exactly.

Hello,

I am also having problems with .NET 4.5

I did as instructed. I changed the version to 4.5, rebooted my laptop, and tried to install AutoCAD 2015 again.

Nothing was resolved. I am still not able to install the program. The same message pops up.

Any other advice would be much appreciated.

This is beyond frustrating.
