AutoCAD 2018 slow performance reading a custom *.dll file

Hi All

I have a custom *.dll written in .NET a few years ago that has worked fine in Windows 7 AutoCAD 2017

On Windows 10 and AutoCAD 2018 it seems to suffer from performance issues

The *.dll reads an Excel spreadsheet (*.xls) which contain text rows

Gives user access to select and insert each line as text on AutoCAD drawing

When running the custom icon - takes 15sec before available list appears

Further 10 seconds once row selected

Further 10 seconds to insert value on drawing

I tested on another Windows 10/AutoCAD 2018 and performance was much better - 5sec/3sec/3sec

Has anyone experienced this recently?

What libraries are you using for xls? If you aren't using this, give it a try (just a guess).

It turned out to be Office trying to activate that was causing the lag
