Creating spool drawings automatically

Hello all,

I have a process in my workplace that I want to improve.

We do a great volume of drawings to detail some spool pieces (see image bellow) that will be connected to a gas metering station. As this is a high number of drawings monthly, we spend a lot of time with drafting, process review, eng. review etc.

So, I want to create an automatic function, that based in the specific site conditions, dimensions, height limitation, quantity of metering stations etc, the user could automatically generate a spool drawing, to make the process quicker and easier.

For the inlet and outlet of this spool, we have standard drawings that the fabricators can refer to, with no need to create new drawings, except for specific cases that require special attention.

As this improvement will be used by non-CAD users, I was thinking to do something on Excel or any other software that has easy access throughout the company.

Which version of Autocad are you using to create the piping?

We have in the company access to Autocad, Plant 3d and Inventor 2022
