So I have written a rather extensive VBNET Project Set Up/Standards Conformance Utility for my company. One enters the relevant project information and the utility sets up a sheet set, xref title block, project dwt file, directory structure on our network, and the first three pages of the set: Cover, Notes and Top Level Drawing 1. It reduces a 20 to 30 minute process to less than two minutes. it was a rather intense effort and is so far proving very useful for our firm. The one function that has utterly defeated me is inserting a Sheet Set Drawing List of the Set on the Cover Page. This is extremely easy to do from the Sheet Set Manager, (right click menu) but I can find no useful property or method in either the Sheet Set or Table API. I have run a few test subs with watches to examine properties of both existing sheet set and table objects, including drawing list tables created from the SSM to better understand the datalink properties and the only relevant properties are the connection string and the DataAdapterID properties in the datalink object. The first is “SheetSet?Drawing?Layout” and the second “AcSmTocDataAdapter” in any sheet set drawing list, so it seems that somehow I should be able to either create the right flavor of table or link an existing one to the current sheet set, but I’ll be damned if I can figure out how to access any of these properties, and am having no luck finding any snippets I can adapt (by which I mean steal) to get at this. Any insights or experience anyone has one this subject would be hugely helpful.

Mille Grazie,
