Hi Dear all,

Could you please check what is the problem with the conversion process?

Problem:

* If I try to export to dwfx from the attached file, then the geometry of the elements gets destroyed.

Any idea for the root cause of this issue? It seems to me as a bug.

Thanks for posting to the forums.

What method are you using to export to IFC from Navisworks? There is not a native way to do this. I suspect you are using a 3rd party plugin to do this, as such you would need to contact the developer of that plugin.

Thanks for updating, that makes more sense. I have tested loading this into Navisworks 2024/2025 and exporting to dwfx and I'm not seeing any geometry loss.

What version are you using and can you provide a video or screenshots showing the steps you are taking?

No problem @dimitris_dimotsis , don't worry. I agree with @brett_parkerLUEP7, I also exported and did not detect any loss. Maybe it would be helpful to know what is the workflow you will have, that is, why you want to export to that format specifically?

I am using Navisworks 2025 and the export is destroying the Geometry

Thank you for the additional information. I can see you are loading this into ADR (Autodesk Design Review), this works as expected when loading the DWFx into Navisworks. As such, the issue I expect to be on the ADR side.

Given this, you can raise a support ticket to get this looked at or post to the ADR forum directly here.
