AutoCAD 2019 won’t open a SketchUp File, I had to use SketchUp 2019 and save as a dwg. I then open in AutoCAD 2019, all the blocks were in one piece, but all the Attribute Information was gone. AutoCAD 2019 does not offer an NWC File Format to export to. I then saved the 3D File as an AutoCAD dwg. When I opened it in Navisworks I get the same thing, nothing but lines and surfaces. I don’t understand why Navisworks explodes the drawing into lines and surfaces which are useless.

Can you try importing the .skp to AutoCAD, save as NWC and then open this in Navisworks and let me know if this helps?

Which version of SketchUp are you using, according to this page, V5 upto 2016 is the supported SketchUp version.

Hi @JDHdroy

I am able to see the dwg with attributes in the online viewer.

See screenshot below -

Can you confirm the versions (sketchup, Navisworks) for me again?

Can you send me a screencast of the import and explode function?

As for the next steps, I'm trying to reproduce this issue on our end and will let the dedicated team investigate further.

I look forward to hearing from you!

I an using SketchUp 2019 as I had posted earlier. I have saved the file in question back to SketchUp 2008, but get the same results when I open in Navisworks. Our customer had also purchased Navisworks Manage 2019 so he could work with the 3D files. If this bug can't be fixed soon, we both will have to start looking for a program that will do the job.I have added a screenshot jpg file to the attachments on this response as you have requested. In the screenshot I am selecting a Fiber Support Ladder which is a block. As you will see in the screen shot all there is to select is a Mesh because the block has been exploded.

Another question I have, after placing material some items look like you can see right through them until you zoom in real close then they look solid again.
