What do you mean by update? When you open a .NWF file in Navisworks, it will automatically refresh any links. This means that it will update any links that have changed.

Here is a link to the command line calls in for Navis. https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/navisworks-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2019/ENU/Navisworks/files/GUID-3891FB9F-7BF1-4510-A1EE-121E975C0ACE-htm.html
