I'm wondering if I can export a Naviswork Model to Virtual Reality, specifically to Oculus Quest 2. I'm hoping to retain the attribute data and access it in Oculus. Is this possible? If so, what would be the steps to achieve this?

Hi there,

Have you seen this link?

https://blog.irisvr.com/navisworks-vr-walkthrough

I have no experience yet in using Prospect by IrisVR with Navisworks, but in the link, there is a detailed way of converting your Navisworks model to VR. Towards the end, there is a feature which is Inspect Element which allows you to view the attributes of the elements in the model.

I hope this helps.

2 1/2 years later... it's still not there and probably won't be now that Autodesk has their cloud-based extra-subscription-required XR workflow. They need to rename it "AEC Partial Collection"

I should of seen that on the road map. New and exciting features = Autodesk Construction Cloud functionality only. I understand that all software can go to the cloud, and it may sooner or later through the evolutionary process. I'm not a fan of adding one niche feature to the cloud while the Desktop software, in this case Nacisworks, is still required. Autodesk should transition the entire software to the cloud instead of parts here and there. It makes their offering much more confusing to use and explain to stakeholders.

I would be ok with Autodesk charging a little bit more for a complete AEC Collection with full cloud access instead of 2 separate revenue streams. It would vastly simply development as all users would be on the same model with the same features. That's my thought, anyway...
