Help Needed with Clash Detection Issue in Navisworks

Hello,

I am facing some difficulties while performing clash detection in this model. I am new to using Navisworks, so the issue might be something obvious that I am not noticing.

I loaded the NWC file of a building, and when running the clash detection, the software did not find any clashes. This result seemed unlikely, so I created a wall deliberately intersecting doors, windows, and railings as a test to see if any clashes would appear. However, after running the test, no clashes were detected.

Below, I have included some screenshots illustrating the workflow I followed:

1- Creation of a wall intentionally intersecting other elements.

2- Creation of group sets for different categories: A.20 Floors, A.30 Walls, A.50 Doors, A.60 Windows, and A.110 Railings.

3- Selection of elements to be checked for clashes.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance or suggestions from the community on what might be causing this issue or how to troubleshoot it effectively.

Use the Find Objects option and create a Search Statement. Use that to create Search Sets to find your objects. Then make rules using those Search Sets to in your clash detective.

Thank you for your response.

I had already created the search statement using "Find Objects," but it still wasn’t working. However, today I finally figured out the issue—turns out it was a classic beginner’s mistake. In the Clash Detection menu, under the Rules tab, I had selected the option to ignore elements from the same file.
