Hi Jason,

Could you please check whether you’ve set the “Task Type” for each task on the tasks tab of Timeliner window. The simulation should not be static.

If you want to create an animation with different view, you can follow the instruction below:

Save different views in saved viewpoints window.

Right click the saved viewpoints window and select Add animation.

Drag all views onto the empty animation you just created.

At this point, you can use playback position slider on the Playback panel of the Animation tab to move backward and forward through the animation to see how it looks.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Best Regards,

Hi,

I have been trying to create an animation using the TimeLiner tool, and I was able to make one, but I am not satisfied with the result because it remains static.

I would like to be able to create an animation with different views, but not successful.

I import 3D autocad drawings to Navisworks Manager and assign tiimeline for each object and run simulation. This is where it gets static.

Thanks,

Jason

Hi Xi,

Thanks for reading my post.

What I am trying to achieve is that I want to be able to change views while TimeLine Simulation tool is running.

What I meant by "static" was that it stays in one view while simulating foundation, walls, windows, ceiling, beams, and etc are being built based on the time interval that I gave to each object.

I saw some video clips on youtube, and they have been able to change views while their project is being built. That's what I want to achieve.

Thanks,

Jason

Hi Jason,

You can created an animation contains different view in Saved viewpoint window or in Animator window. And then, go to Simulate tab of Timeliner window, click settings button. In Settings dialog, you can see animation group box. Click the dropdown menu of animation field, select Saved Viewpoints Animation or Scen X->Camera.

Navisworks will play the specified viewpoint animation or camera during the TimeLiner sequence playback.

Hope that's helpful.

Best Regards,
