Changing colours of item once parameter is set

Hi all.

I want to know if this is possible.

I am looking to see if I can set up a check box for example "installed" that would automatically change the colour of an item.

So basically I can get a site foreman to walk around on site and select all items that are installed to provide me with how far we are on a 1st fix.

Any ideas?

It is possible to link external data to model elements and color code elements per the external data. Within the external data, a data field is required with a unique identifier of the model elements of interest (Revit Element ID is usually convenient). Once a data link is established between the data and the model elements, search sets and appearance profiler can be used to color model elements by external data.

Last I checked, a fully qualified path is needed to link data to Navisworks.

During installation Navis installs some sample files with Data Links. Thanks for the reply.

I will have a look at using this external data option.

At the minute I have added a user data tab in navis. Added a boolean which allows the user to say weather it is installed or not and used the apperrance profiler to set colours.

Is it possible to set this multiple files at once?I cannot seem to figure that out.
