Unmerge files appended in the Selection Tree

Is there a way you can take away a level of appended files for example have the two nwc files shown above on the same level as the nwd. or take away the nwd (shown) completely without losing previously saved viewpoints?

This is a tricky one.

As far as I know, you cannot un-append (Delete that is) models from a tree if you have opened an NWD file in Simulate (or Freedom)

you only can do that if you have opened the NWF that created the NWD.

If an NWD with other files included is appended to your NWF, so that you see a 2nd level of files in the selection tree,

then also you need to open the NWF that was used to create that NWD "chapter"

In your example, you should open "Coordination Model.NWF"

Then delete the files that you want to unappend

Then Save as or publish to "Coordination model.NWD
