Item Map Rules

I have created 3 catalogue templates for importing into various new jobs. Within the item catalogues I have created item map rules against various items in the item catalogue.

When I then import the catalogues into the new jobs everything is imported in except for the item map rules. What do I need to do to have the item map rules come in with the catalogue into new jobs.

Hi Lee,

Could you provide some screenshots of your steps. Or better yet, a Screencast video that steps us through what you’re trying to do?

If you haven’t used Screencast before, you can download here: Autodesk Screencast Simply record a video while using Navisworks, preferably narrating into your microphone while you record, and then save the video. Then post the link to that video here.

Autodesk have said they can't change the software to make this work.

Minor oversight, can't wait for 2020, not for a fix but at least a new marketing splash screen I hope !

Best method I found was to save a file that has all your Item Map Rules as an NWD.

Append the file you want to transfer the Item Map Rules to, then delete the NWD.

*This works but be careful that your quantification book doesn't carry over take off items from the original NWD file.
