Hello

I've a question that has been on my mind for quite some time now.

When I try to open a nwc, nwf or nwd, Navisworks open the file in simulate/freedom not in manage? This happens when I double click on the file and not open it through navisworks.

That is your operating system (Windows) having the NWD file associated with Simulate instead of Manage. Depending on which OS (or version of your OS) you are using, the following solution may be different but similar ...

Right-click on the file and select "Open with ..."

Select Navisworks Manage (may need to browse through your computer's file structure to the Program Files folder and find the roamer.exe file)

You should also check the box for "Always use this app ..."

That should associate the NWD file format with Navisworks Manage instead of Navisworks Simulate.

This will work for any program:

can happen with PDF files if you have both Adobe Acrobat and Bluebeam Reveiw

can happen if you have Autodesk Design Review and AutoCAD

can also happen if you have multiple versions of Revit or AutoCAD installed
