Is it possible to create redline or measurement using API?

Hi,

I am trying to create a function to create redline or measurement lines in the model or Saved ViewPoints using API. Is that possible? For example, I want to show the distance in redline/meansurement between the center points of two objects.

Hi pollyanna23,

API has not yet exposed the abilities of redline or measurement. Sorry if this is bad news to you.

The new plugin ToolPlugin can implement custom behaviors of tool, you could draw your own redline. But it does not provide Text graphics, and no ability to get snap point.

I found Redline could be added to savedviewpoint, but Redline could not be shown in ViewControl. It only could be seen in Navisworks.
