Automatically create issues in Navisworks thru the API

Hello!

I'm looking for a way to programmatically create issues in Navisworks, similar to how the "Create Issues" button works in the Clash Detective window.

Is there a way to invoke this function through the Navisworks API, or an alternative approach to automate issue creation within a custom plug-in?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

That is nothing to do with Navisworks; that functionality is provided via the Coordination Issues Add-in

@naveen.kumar.t Is there any way to implement this in a custom plug-in? Do I have to use the ACC issues API? Do you have any examples?

First of all, we currently don't have any working sample code.

I consulted with the Navisworks Engineering team regarding your request. To achieve the desired outcome, there are several complexities involved. However, if your goal is to create a straightforward plain issue without the additional data typically included by Model Coordination and Navisworks, this can be accomplished outside of Navisworks using the Issues API.

Depending on your specific workflow, this API may provide a more efficient and streamlined solution compared to the approach within Navisworks. This method is more aligned with creating issues directly in Build. Ultimately, the best approach will depend on the amount of supplementary data you need to associate with the issue.
