Import Hyperlinks in excel file to Navisworks

I have an excel file , one of its columns contains hyperlinks to PDF files. when I use datatools to link the excel file with my Navisworks model, I can see the pdf full file name, but it is not a hyperlink.

Is there a way to import hyperlinks from excel file to Navisworks and keep it still as hyperlink?

Hi,

if you would like to import the hyperlink and create them by API, you can refer to this blog. It shows how to create. As to read Excel column and find the corresponding objects, I believe it is not a difficulty to you.

But, what you wanted is to use UI abilities of DataTools, I have to suggest you post the question on product board, where the product expert would be able to share a comment if there is a setting of DataTools can bind hyperlinks of Excel to objects of Navisworks.

Thank you very much for the help! By useing the API method you suggested, I am able to create the hyperlink from excel file.

By the way, can I create more then 1 hyperlinks?

Hi Richard,

I think that blog has shown how to create several hyperlinks/labels on one object. Could you elaborate if it is not what you need?
