Navisworks hangs if custom Dock pane is docked, orbit and Esc key pressed

We have developed an dock plugin. Navisworks 2017 (Simulate/Manage) crashes in the following condition

1. Plug-in loaded and docked. (If it is not docked then works well without issue)

2. Rotate the object using 'Orbit'

3. While rotating press 'Esc' key in key board.

I could not figure out the root cause of this issue.

Any clue or help will be appreciated.

Hi @sukumaran_ganeshsundaram ,

may I know if the problem happened with specific dock pane ? or any simple empty dock pane? When it crashed, any dialog to ask for submitting crash report, if yes, please fill in your email address, we can check at backend if anything could be useful

Thanks for your response.

We didn't get this issue in other dock panels.

Only specific custom dock panel is having this issue.

Actually, the application is not crashing, but romer.exe is occupying 50% of CPU and Navisworks window became not-responding and didn't come to normal.

my apology for the late response!

The info of the hanging on does not tell useful information. but since you said the problem happens with specific dock pane, may I know what the core job the pane does? Could you try to comment some lines to narrow down which lines cause the problem? I guess this plugin tries to dump whole model information when the pane is initialized, or it falls into a dead loop.
