Hello everyone:

I am running Mudbox 2018 on Windows 10 machine with 32GB of RAM together with a Radeon RX 470 with 8GB of video memory.

Mudboy however is constantly giving me error messages like this:

"

The current available video memory is not enough for the new texture layer. You can first hide or delete existing layers.

If you still want to create it now it may result a performance drop.

Do you want to continue?"

It does this as soon as I hit 512MB of video Ram usage. I tried increasing the memory allocation under the "Paint buffer memory Budget" but with no effect.

I can however ignore the message and create the textures anyway. The asset I am working on has 2 UV tiles each 4k in size.

Can anyone offer help or advice?

Regards,

Benjamin
