Hand Control selector

Hi, I would like to select the individual digits Here instead of one selection that selects them all. Is there a setting for that and if not why? I can toggle back and forth from the Schematic view but that is pretty inefficient. I am wondering if you took a vote if people would want individual Digits as default and not in this layout?

Hi, it's possible by editing this file:

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MotionBuilder 2017\bin\system\CharacterControls\CharacterControlsConfig.xml

Editing this file isn't convenient, but possible 😉

Unfortunately, afaik, there is an issue with fingers, that the first segment of finger in UI selects all it's joints.

I had the same issue and have settled on using sets. Add any members you want - in the navigator, right-click > Create set from selected item(s). You need to do Left and Right separately. When you want to select the set or sets (you can select multiple set simultaneously), right-click > Select branches. If you have poses set up, hit the pose. Just started using this method, and seems to work well.

So there is a bit of set up, but it beats having to go into the control window every time.
