AMI2017 -Elements with Closeness error

Some Elements with Closeness error not seen until cooling channels imported and check for model paramter is run.

Seen this issues highlighted earlier as well on this forum.

Looking for a resolve !!!

P.S. This observation is not confined to a specific project

When the centroids of two elements are too close together, this indicates that the mesh is not ideal and needs to be fixed.

refer below image - red dot is centroid of element

Triangle elements that are too close together (closer than one tenth of either element's average edge length), are identified on the plot legend as Error .
Triangle elements that are verging on being too close together (closer than one tenth of either element's average edge length), are identified on the plot legend as Warning

Please do Centroid Closeness Diagnostic

Do fix them by merging node or swap elements or avoid Back to back triangles

well my intent here is to highlight the inability of the s/w to screen out the errors and not what/how to find and rectify the error.

After running a closeness diganostics and rectifying all the error elements it shows additional elemets with closeness error only while running the cool analysis.More so with dual domain mesh.

The purpose of running the closeness diagnoistic should be to capture all and not some.

During the boundary element integration of the Cool analysis, two elements were found to be in too close proximity to one another. If the distance between the centroids of two elements is less than 10 percent of the average edge length of either triangle, then the warning is triggered. This warning usually occurs when two triangular elements of very bad aspect ratios are adjacent to each other. Another common cause is between two adjacent triangular elements of good aspect ratio that form a fold in the part and consequently have a very small included angle between the two elements. With Dual Domain meshes, this warning could arise when the part thickness is very thin and the opposing triangles are too large. This warning may also arise if a cooling circuit element intersects a triangular element.
